Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P)

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Curriculum

The courses in the DNP program prepare advanced practice nurses and nurse executives at the doctoral level to utilize scientific knowledge of clinical practice to address complexities surrounding the delivery of quality care and patient safety. The DNP program is designed to meet the demands and future mandate of doctoral-prepared, advanced practice nurses and nurse leaders employed within direct and indirect clinical roles while supporting the continuous advancement of the nursing profession. DNP students will have several interprofessional collaborative opportunities based upon their respective specialty areas and the topics selected for the DNP Quality Improvement Project and earn a maximum of 1,000 practice immersion hours. (Project courses total 600).
