Taking from family systems theory, this course examines the basic models, theories and assumptions underlying marriage and family therapy while considering the biopsycho social perspective. Using case studies, videos, and therapy demonstrations, the course examines fundamental techniques of both therapy and diagnostic evaluation such as the use and development of the genogram.
