PPRAG 1526: Self-Care and Non-prescription Therapeutics

This course equips students with the knowledge to assess patients and develop evidence-based plans for common self-care conditions. Through a combination of lectures and active learning, students will formulate comprehensive therapeutic recommendations, including non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic options. Students will explore common self-treatable conditions and develop strategies for assessing patients through diagnosis and identification of self-care exclusions, and recommending appropriate therapies. The course prepares future pharmacists to confidently guide patients in safe and effective self-care practices.
