Healthcare informatics brings together healthcare generated information with technology for the purpose of improving quality of care in a cost effective and comprehensive manner. The course focuses on key concepts, including definitions, technological foundations, databases and information management, legal issues, project management, and potential career opportunities. The main goal of the course is to develop an understanding of informatics and the application in the healthcare field.
