Graduation Requirements

To qualify for graduation with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, students must:

  1. Complete all professional coursework with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.
  2. Complete all professional clinical/practicum hours.
  3. Complete all required coursework and practicum experiences with a "B-" or higher, or "Pass" (on a "Pass/Fail" Grading Scale).
  4. Complete the required minimum number of quarter-credit hours in the curriculum (72 quarter-credit hours for MSN)
  5. Receive a favorable recommendation for a Master’s degree conferral from the Academic Review Committee and the College of Health Sciences (CHS) Student Promotion and Graduation Committee.
  6. Receive a favorable recommendation for a Master’s degree conferral from the University Faculty Senate.
  7. Settle all financial accounts with the institution.
  8. Complete all graduation clearance requirements as instructed by the Office of the Registrar.
