This course examines how individuals impact and are impacted by, their social, cultural, economic, and political environments. Topics covered will include social cognition, attribution theory, social influence, attitudes, and attitude change, conformity, attraction and relationships, aggression, and stereotypes, and prejudice. Classic research in the field will be explored to establish core social psychological principles and theories, and current research will be examined to provide a contemporary view of the field and its various applications.
